Woody Woodpecker

I exited the car this afternoon and heard a very strange and unfamiliar knocking noise coming from high above.  It was obviously not mechanical machinery, though incredibly persistent and regular. I was pretty sure it was a woodpecker in our tree behind the house and so rushed to grab my camera and managed to get this.
