Vacations, day 5.

Detail of a four-part panel my father built, where he put on display several metal parts from doors and drawers.

Too old for recovery, they were converted into wood when the inherited family country house was reconstructed by my parents, almost twenty years ago.

My father, a light hoarder, kept the metal stuff ("You never know when you might need it!") and a couple of months ago he finally got the idea of how to use all those old parts.

I finally saw the finished work and it's impressive, my father is very skilled with his hands.
