TIEFES TAL IN DALHAUSEN
The forecast had told us that today would be the last beautiful, sunny day for now. That made us leave our home a bit earlier, before lunch, so we had sandwiches and beverage packed.
We drove to Dalhausen. Parked near the cemetry and started our walk uphill. The weather so soft, no wind, and the sunshine did glow not only us, but the meadows and fields around us too.
Our goal was the Klus, a familiar one to us. We came upon two men who were busy in their orchard. They wished us a nice walk, and suggested other paths to the Kluss that we could follow too.
We climbed slowly, but constantly. The light through the trees, when we had entered the forest, so magical.
Where a little brook was, we sat on a tree-trunk, listened to the constant splashing of the water, ate what we had brought with us.
Eventually we reached the Kluss, Edessen, the old hermit's place, but discovered that the church was closed, the roof in repair. Three men were high up discussing the work.
We sat on one of the benches, and a black cat came joining us.
In the end when we started our way back, the cat wanted to follow us, but we thought better chase him back, before he could be lost.
My picture I took when we almost reached Dalhausen again. It is my entry for the wild wednesday challenge. Huge thanks to Cailleach for hosting this terrific challenge,
This really has been a long walk, a most wonderful one on this beautiful day. I add an extra photo to give another impression.
