flame flower
sunny day for a bit of gardening, then popped over to my neighbour Margaret's (at tea time) to take her some of my grass cuttings for her compost bins and to take some pics in her lovely garden. I always come away spoiled for choice but have chosen this picture of the berries of Scottish Flame Flower, Tropaeolum speciosum, aslo known as Flame Nasturtium. The leaves are edible and have crimson flowers which yield these blue berries. Margaret says this plant is difficult to establish but once it is settled it grows like mad. This one is winding its way through her apple tree - you can just glimpse a green apple at the bottom.
early dinner then out to aquafit. hope everyone has enjoyed the sunshine today.
