Soppy ...

This morning we went to the care home and collected mum's things ..  (in despair at the state of the world I recently contacted a 'Help for Refugees' group and will donate any serviceable clothes to them - mum would approve!)

This afternoon we went to register mum's death and then took the paperwork to the funeral director.

A friend gave mum a cuddly toy dog a while ago, which mum called Ginger.

Mum loved Ginger - he went to the home with her and she had Ginger by her side when she died.

He's in a terrible state because he's twice been through the washing machine and it hasn't done him any good at all.

She also had a cuddly lamb (Lambkin) given to her by our lovely ex neighbour. I'd bought two lookalike lambs in case Lambkin was lost (not really having thought through the fact that if Lambkin were lost, mum was hardly going to remember he ever existed!)

I'm so soppy, I asked them to put Ginger in with mum - and also one of the lookalike lambs, because I want to keep that original one. She always said what a 'dear little thing' Lambkin is.
