Quick Blip - Fort George, Guernsey.

Here is the entrance to "Fort George", from inside the Fort.

For the non Guerns amongst you, Fort George is where the "rich and/or famous" live, as all of the properties are "open market".

We have two property markets, "Local" and "Open". Only locally qualified people can live in those properties, whereas with Open, anyone can - but the price of an open market property is huge, in some cases millions of pounds.

I am not a local Guern, but am able to live in a local property because my partner is local - however, I have since qualified as local since I have lived in Guernsey for the 20 year qualifying period.
