Exciting Adventure - Day 28

Today have seen black swans - a kiwi - been underground - seen glow worms - bubbling mud pools - spouting geysers - and smelt bad eggs at times

After spending last night at Auckland travelled to Waitomo and went into the caverns - was spellbound by the sheer size - and the silent boat ride in the water channel at the bottom - through a cave lit by thousands of glow worms - the boat pulled through by wire

Visited Te Puia - a Maori cultural centre - in the Whakarewarewa Geothermal Valley - Rotorua - where we saw bubbling mud pools and geysers - this one being The Pohutu Geyser - just started spouting forth


Also saw the kiwi there - being cared for as a protected species - traditional carving and weaving - Mauri traditional entertainment - including the Hakka - finishing off with a modern take on a Hangi Feast
