Three from the top, two from the bottom.
Trying to find particular editions of novels when not close to Charing Cross Road and having left it too late for the internet, is a bit of a pain. G wanted to buy one of her friends a nice copy of perhaps Jane Eyre, so off we went to the local second-hand/antiquarian bookseller. Only to find he's closed down - for good! So we drive on and manage to find a lovely Virginia Woolf copy instead, but outside Hay-on-Wye, these bookshops are falling like flies!
After various other tasks, Emma and I had time to go blackberry picking - and I don't mean a trip to Carphone Warehouse:). This is something we have tried to do with all our children. Having picked huge amounts from a garden on Sunday, the berries 'in the wild' were nowhere near as ready, were much smaller where they were ripe, but in the main need another two to four weeks.
We both were stung by nettles, but netted over a kilo in fifteen minutes which is not bad.
