Insects are on the prowl

It's a lovely spring-like day and the garden is astir with various insects. Here, a Green Shieldbug, in its winter colouring, has chosen the lichen-covered trunk of a fine Snake Bark Maple for a little spot of sun bathing. It looks like spring might actually arrive within the next couple of weeks - still a bit early, but better than recent years
