Brown and Polson

this former office block is all that's left of the world famous Paisley company which made first starch for muslin then B&Ps 'patent cornflower' and many foodstuffs from 1840 to 1996 employing 1200 and looking after them with 'cottages' (see xtra)  on both sides of Falside Road all still occupied and  sports facilities such as bowling greens and tennis courts
