Exmoor

This is a view I NEVER tire of. It is just above Simonsbath nearly at the head of the Valley. This morning the sun shone and the colours came to life. I love Exmoor in the winter. In fact I think I prefer it Summer. We said farewell to the Crown at Exford and headed for Barnstaple and then to Biddeford and eventually arriving at Hartland. A delightful area full of magical little villages and a coast .ine like no other.

We had lunch and a good walk around Hartland quay . A fascinating survivor really in that although the actual harbour is no longer the Inn and row of fishermens cottages still exist and in fact the Inn is also a Hotel too and seems to be very popular. The coast line is superb with such extraordinary rock formations . Love it.
