Lunar landscape

We have been out looking at the volcanic are of Lanzarote, in the Parque Natural los Volcanes, amazing sights of larva fields from the 1730s.

Despite the  dry climate and the poor soil they manage to grow grapes for their wine industry, each vine protected from the trade winds by a low wall as shown in the extra  shot.
