A Great Start (and End) to the Day
Today was always going to be testing. I was scheduled to attend court as part of a team defending the council's decision to serve a noise abatement notice last year. So it was really a great pleasure to be able to pop out first thing and watch this sky develop from a vantage point next to the local fishing pool.
The less said about the court, the better. We lost, which might be seen as a victory for the individual, but in all such things, there are always other individuals that lose as well.
And at the end of the day I was able to pop in and see a good friend, laid low currently by a debilitating back problem. It was good to spend a few minutes with him and also find out that an end is in sight for his suffering. He goes under the knife within a month with a good prognosis for his recovery.
