Happiest Days

Wednesday's are the days when we get to really indulge in maternity leave with a newborn. Mummy knows from experience that these will be some of the happiest days of her life and that we'll pine for them in the not too distant future. But we're not allowed to mention the fact that this way of life won't last forever. She's just not ready to face that yet.

Another spin fit session this morning. I slept through it for a change. Mummy was a real sweaty mess by the end of it. 'Is it hotter in here this week?' she asked. No one seemed to agree. It's just because you actually had to do the full thing this week mummy and I didn't make you stand conveniently feeding me while everyone else in the class was cycling up imaginary hills. Afterwards we spent three hours having lunch and talking all things baby.

Mummy promised herself she would do housework when she got home. But between me wanting attention and having to go pick Eli up she hardly got anything done. She figures that when she's old she'll never look back and wish she'd done more housework but she'll always wish that she had more time to cuddle us when we were little. Well that's the excuse she fobbed daddy off with when he came home to a house that looked like it had been bulldozed!
