Flower Friday

Walking outside around my yard today I surveyed all the damage done to our trees, shrubs and other plants now that most of the snow has melted.  The accumulation of snow and freezing rain being just too much for some, they now lie awaiting the clean up.  

As I was looking for something to photograph, our row of hearty heather called out and said 'pick me, pick me!'  This was one plant that seemed undaunted by our winter and stood the test well.  It seems to thrive in our wet and rainy climate.
