Reservoir bogs

A new location for today's walk, which is rather odd since it's relatively close to home: Polmont Woods. I came across these paths on the Antonine Wall website a few weeks ago and thought I'd pay them a visit today.

There was enough to keep me amused for an hour or so, including these old reservoirs built by Grangemouth Town Council in the late 19th century and the nearby, and more modern, Millhall Reservoir which doubles up as a private fishing facility.
