Compost

I gather our council is adding to its recycling efforts a plan to have a bin for discarded food. I shall be very interested as to how much food we throw away in this house. I don't count the compost heap as throwing away. I more or less ignore eat by dates as I use my judgement. I can't see how a food can be fit to eat one day and unfit the next and eat by dates must err on the sideo f caution.
Anyway here's to the compost heap!
