Big Buddha on Lantau Island

As you can probably guess the Buddhas in the picture are not the Big Buddha. The Big Buddha was impressive, at 34 meters it is one of the worlds largest seated Buddha. But my favorite part was the views from the top.

The lady in the pink t-shirt holding the green flag was our tour guide for the day. She was the epitome of a Chinese tour guide complete with mini loudspeaker, green flag and giving marching orders the entire time!

Then we had a vegetarian lunch in a cafe at the Monastery followed by a trip to a local fishing village (Tai O). As soon as we got back to halls we all collapsed in our rooms, if this is a taste of what my 2 months of travel will be like I've got to start saving up energy!
