Three cheers for blip!
A year on and we are still here blipping! :-D I, for one, will always be exceptionally grateful to Annie, Bob, Graham and Ian for stepping up to the table when the chips were down. They helped to bring this wonderful community together and enable it to continue as the place we all know, and love, today. Thank you, thank you, thank you...and not forgetting Michele who does an amazing job of coordinating the community seamlessly!
Why do I love the blip community so much? The main reason has got to be the people. Those who I regularly check in with, and in turn those who regularly check in with me - it feels like you know those people, whether you've met them in person or not. I think that is pretty special!
The magic of blip comes in many forms. It is in sharing the mundane moments of every day life, seeing new arrivals, be it a pet or a baby and taking a journey across the globe through holiday snaps, and international blip journals. It is in the recording of landmark events; historical, political and personal. Blip isn't sugar coated, it is real life - the good, the bad and the downright ugly. That is the beauty of blip, you can rely on it, depend on it and be reassured by it.
Blipping every single day is part of my routine and I simply wouldn't be without it. It has opened my eyes to a world I didn't notice before and challenged me to look at things in different ways, in order to get that photo! It brings joy to every day through beautiful sunsets and dazzling sunrises, but also by highlighting the colours of every time and season.
Thank you, blip, for being my friend! :-D
