False killer whale

Went to a student careers event on what options are available to life sciences graduates. I talked about my career path and how I'd moved out of the lab and into publishing. Two of the students I helped with placements were there to talk about their new jobs - both of them were employed before graduation last year. There was a really interesting mix of people presenting. We had a 'speed dating' session afterwards and there were several people who had not really thought about science publishing as a career path. 

This false killer whale hangs from the ceiling in the zoology museum at the university. 

Pleased to pick up husband from the station later.
