Prazeres Church

Today we walked from our hotel (which is fabulous by the way) along the Levada Nova which was in woods pretty much all the way. It was notable that a lot of trees had fallen and as it was quite windy, couldn't help but be tuned into the creaking particularly as a German couple had witnessed a tree falling and warned us from continuing however we persevered. The walk culminated in a very steep downhill section which was very hard on the knees but to a welcome beer. We took a taxi back and had a drive to Prazeres where there were many abandoned empty house which would make super villas - oh if only we'd been here 20 years ago.
