Rainbows
The sun came out again today after some rain although there were several very heavy downpours , one when Mike was washing the car and David was out for a walk.
We went down to Newhall Point. The old Kirkmichael is looking fantastic. All the scaffolding is down and it is now a watertight building , quite a contrast to the ruin it was less than a year ago. It's due to open in the late Spring.
The tide was out so we went for a walk on the sand/mud to the waters edge. Super views down the Firth to Cromarty. Still lots of rigs and this vessel Deep Energy across the water in Invergordon. It was constructed in 2013 and 'is one of the largest pipelay vessels built'.
We drove back to Cromarty where we had to have a pizza as Sutor Creek is open again. Delicious. The clouds were very dramatic and the sky kept changing as they floated by.
At Rosemarkie a group of Brent geese had gathered at the burn. One photographer with a large camera was getting some closeup shots while two of his companions looked through binoculars.
Happy 1st Anniversary to Blipfoto. So pleased that this great site could continue and a BIG thank-you to all those who made it possible :)
