CUBA DAY 7
After the usual "delights" we headed off to the "Palace de Ville". The Rev wanted to walk but I persuaded him to call a taxi...thank heavens it was quite a trek in the heat!!!
The entrance was £2 and you got a free drink...Rum and coke at 10am!!!! Amazing views but the palace was interesting!! We walked down to the beach but didn't stay.
As we walked back we were stopped every 5 mins...you want taxi!!! from men on bikes with 2 extra seats. Eventually we gave in and took one. Poor guy with us 2 on the back!!
We got back to our hotel at 2 to enjoy pool time BUT NO...we couldn't get into our room...went to reception... "No Sir you should have checked out at 10...your taxi has been and gone!!!
Panic... we had muddled our days up we only had one day there so it cost us £50 to call another taxi to take us to Trinidad!!!
The transfer was only one hour but when we arrived #the streets were like entering a slum area...we were very very perturbed!!!
#our Casa was on this street. Inside it was beautiful the host was so welcoming and the room were spacious and clean.
In the evening we walked up to the old town....it is amazing place..,probably my favourite. The recommended restaurant was fabulous and we had our best meal in Cuba so far...even O would approve!!!
Phew glad to be here, shame about the taxi bill but to be honest there is nothing to buy so heyho!!!
