The quintessential duck (again)

It was 56 degrees F on Feb 18 in upstate NY today.Just try to tell me there is no global warning! I had hoped to see the eagles that have been hanging out at the park ,but the only view of them was as I was crossing over the bridge to get to the park. And then they were gone. There were however ( see extras) hooded mergansers in breeding plumage ( in February !) on the river. And our resident mallard on take off.
