Stu had to pop into his Mom and Dads tonight to pick up some stuff so I went back home (mom and dads) and waited for him as the door fitter still had my house key. Stu went straight to the house though and told me not to bother as he was only going to be an hour or two. Mom however is paranoid someone is going to fall down the cellar stairs so Gem and I went to check on him. Mom asked me to caulk above the lounge door while I was there but Stu said I was doing it wrong so he took over. Don't know why I bother.
