Flying

Today I went flying at the Basingstoke iFly, it was my birthday present from last year. There was rather a long wait, a very short briefing and then an awful lot of noise, air and quite a few bumps. Overall very exhilarating and it doesn't involve throwing yourself out of an aeroplane!

After the flight, we did some shopping, and a quick dinner,  then we went to see Hidden Figures in town. The film made a number of historical errors, NASA didn't have a colour bar and in reality though the lead character did check the IBM's numbers, she didn't do it in minutes before the flight, but days in advance. However the film maker was trying to fit in more of the race and sexual prejudice into a manageable sized canvas, so I thought it worked as a film even though it wasn't quite correct.
