Windmill (at the end of the Lane)

A lovely walk this morning, in almost spring like conditions at certain times.  We chose this area for the good conditions underfoot, starting along this lane (Gailey Lea Lane), before continuing along a canal towpath.

It's the first time I've been up here since the erection of new wind turbines. I hadn't realised this one was located seemingly at the end of the lane.  In truth it doesn't as this lane ends abruptly at the M6 and the turbine mast is another 250 metres on the other side.  If you are a regular traveller along the M6 this is one of two that can be seen as you approach junction 12.

It certainly makes a statement in the landscape!
