If you can't beat them...

Looking towards Keswick

A quiet morning as is my habit for a Sunday!  After lunch we decided on a walk and the reserve up the road at Eycott Hill.  A walk there is always a wellies job.   Parts are dry and rocky while the rest boggy to say the least.

We wandered across to the hill itself looking forward to when the adjoining hay meadows burst into flower.  They have been seded both by the use of green hay from similar habitat hay fields and plug plants.

This shot is from Eycott Hill itself looking west towards Keswick with the slopes of Souther Fell in the foreground right.  Incidentally Souther Fell is pronounced in Cumbrian Dialect as Sooter Fell.
