Caterpillar choo, choooo!

Went for a walk on the coast path starting from the Playa de Aguilar near Muros de Nalon in Asturias. We came across this 'train' of caterpillars slowly crossing the path. They are Pine Processionary Caterpillars which, although fairly cute and colourful looking, are definatey not for touching. They eject highly irritant hairs which can be very harmful to humans and even life threatening to pet dogs that get too curious. They're also bad news for the pine trees on which they live.
