I reckon Brian thinks he has really huge balls, so big that the only way to accommodate them is on his back, legs splayed. He has been out roaming in the undergrowth, fighting the other alphas in the garden and generally doing what big cats do, so he clearly deserves a bit of admiration.
Bless him, he's such a bloke ;)
