Immature karuhiruhi

Had to leave work early this afternoon, as I had to go to GreenLane Clinical Centre for some special blood tests (to determine if I'm fit and proper to have the new job) and hand in the signed copies of the many documents required to also show that I'm a fit and proper person for them to employ. It is a little bizarre that the Medical Council no longer provides a paper practicing certificate (its all electronic) and I was told I had to have one printed out so that it could be signed by a lawyer as a true and accurate copy when its the "original". I decide to just give them a printout and they seem content with that.

By the time I'd done all that, even having left early, I was too late to get back to the apartment before S left for a two hour workshop with other writers from the Masters course over the last few years. So I just changed and headed to Western Springs Lake on the bike.

As well as karuhiruhi, there were Kawau tui (lots) and kawau paka (one). Also spoonbills (half a dozen). Lots of geese swans, ducks, and Australasian Coots. Some of the latter were also immature.
