A rude awakening

04:30 Jonty started to 'woof, woof', not a big bark just that low woof that tells you something is going on.
then I heard movement on the landing and opened my door to find Marlane and F.M.i.L. at a front bedroom window looking at the scene in the photo.
There was another blue light to the left but it was between flashes when my shutter operated. This was an ambulance that left soon afterwards.
The roundabout used to be notorious for people crashing into the barrier where this car crashed but since the council put large black and white arrowed boards there, about 5 years ago, this is only the second one.
It's a funny elbow coming off this side of the roundabout but if you are not going too fast it's easy enough. If you are going too fast, this is what happens. 
The Extra is the barrier this morning awaiting council workers to come to repair it.
What was amazing is the brilliance of the blue lights in the middle of the night. The light was bouncing off all the houses around and our house was lit up with blue flashes.
