Humphrey Head
Today was a volunteering day with Cumbria Wildlife Trust at the Humphrey Head nature reserve near Grange. The poor weather forecast meant we didn't walk up onto the head but instead undertook scrub and bramble clearance on the foreshore. Humphrey Head is surrounded by salt marsh and weather didn't seem to bother the sheep who were grazing out on the marsh. The bonfire was kept stoked all day and was good for warming up.
