Grey Wagtail

Today I returned from a lovely break with my son and family at St. Albans. Before leaving I had a short walk along the River Ver which is at the end of their road. It was sunny and warm - just like a spring day and I even walked without a coat!

There were lots of birds around the riverside including a pair of grey wagtails, long tailed tits (extra), little egret and winter thrushes. 

The journey back was reasonable too, my lovely daughter in law made me a delicious Greek salad to eat when I had a break on the  motorway which was greatly appreciated!
