break a leg for your birthday

my son broke his leg yesterday, during skating...a double fracture, shinbone and fibula...sigh, just a split second a wrong movement and this is the result. They will operate his leg on Wednesday because they had to order some things, now really...In the meantime he is in bed and well, today is his birthday. So we brought some cheesecake and had a quick celebration. But he is in a good mood, a little bored some times but fine generally. Hope he is not too ill after the surgery.
