A surprise visitor......
.....to my garden.
Xanthocnemis zealandica commonly known as red damselfly or red coat damselfly is the most common native New Zealand damselfly. Females are black with narrow cream hoops while the males are vibrant red.
Enjoying the arrival of some different types of insects this year in my garden, last week it was the dragonfly and today this female damselfly basking in hot summer sun on my sedum which will soon burst into bloom.
A very foggy morning made way to a vibrant blue sky and a hot sunny day, 29C.
Thanks to wrperry for hosting Tiny Tuesday this month :)
Happy Tuesday everyone :)
