Happy

My 66th birthday today.
I cannot remember a happier one.

A week or two back I got my wires crossed, thinking that Shrove Tuesday coincided with my birthday this year.  Wondering why I'd never noticed this before.  Even when I discovered that Pancake Tuesday is in fact next week I could not let go of the idea of a pancake stack birthday cake.

I'm glad the idea stuck.  Made with buckwheat flour and cashew milk, topped with roasted strawberries and maple syrup.  It turned out to be one of the most delicious things I ever ate!  Sliced just like a Victoria sponge too.

Silence continues, on and off blip.  I got a book of it as a birthday gift :-)
