A female guide to DIY

So...... on the opposite wall from the ' I can't look at this without sunglasses' wall.....

I decided to put up a wee shelf with my cute new vase of dried flowers.

I love the 'old' look so I grabbed a piece of wood I had lying out the back and asked George my neighbour to saw a bit off for me. Luckily he had a clean and dry piece of wood the same.......

Was going to go down the staining it with coffee or tea but decided I preferred it 'au natural' and just sanded it a little with the sandpaper holder thingy that George thoughtfully gave me too :)

Some no more nails and something to hold it in place while it dries later.........
