Buddha Eden Peace Park
In 2001, a Portuguese businessman was shocked by the taliban's destruction of the buddhas in Afghanistan, so he built an 86 acre 'peace garden' in Portugal. It's got all sorts of buddhas, African sculptures, lakes and walkways. It's even got two platoons of terracotta warriors. They were originally painted in the original colours, but were badly weathered, so now are the blue found on traditional Portuguese houses. It's an odd, but lovely place.
Also, he has vineyards, so there's a wine shop too.
