Pretty hydrangea

Today is the 6th anniversary of the 2011 earthquake in christchurch. At 12.51 6 years ago the earth moved in a violent and terrifying way. Those who experienced this will never forget those dreadful moments that changed our lives for ever. 185 people lost their lives and as hpx mentions 40 suicides also were attributed to the quakes. We had thousands of after shocks during this time and in the previous september we experienced a magnitude 7.1 quake west of christchurch near where i live. Just last year our small country had yet another huge quake north of christchurch city and this one was very destructive also. So destructive that it caused the sea bed to rise an amount in metres. Our people have been absolutely to hell and back but we are fighters and we take one day at a time. The hydrangea was part of a floral tribute to the people who passed away 6 years ago today.
