Woodforde's Wherry

When I was married with a wee family, we used to host parties in different houses to celebrate New Year. One particular year I made home brewed beer from a Woodforde’s ‘Wherry’ kit. It was the best home brew I ever produced. One of our neighbours thought it was so good that he couldn’t quite believe I had made it. You take your successes where you can get them.

 
Yesterday, in our Wetherspoon's pub, they had Woodforde’s ‘Wherry,’ all the way from Norfolk, on tap, and I reminisced to the barmaid about brewing it. “How was yours compared with the current version?” she asked me after my first pint. “Better,” I said.  She laughed. It's a wonderful beer. I might have some more today.
