I was born near here!

This stonework is in the little garden at the former entrance to Falkirk Royal Infirmary, which opened in 1932.

This is the Burgh of Falkirk coat of arms.
Inscription is:
"Touch ane, touch a'; Better meddle wi' the De'il than the Bairns of Falkirk"
(this is Scots for: Touch one, touch all,
Better meddle with the Devil than the Descendants (or children) of Falkirk).

The hospital still serves the community, although a lot of the acute services were transferred to Larbert and the new Forth Valley Royal Hospital in 1999.
