Stormy

A stormy night and heavy showers of rain during the day but plenty of sunshine too although it was chilly. I did sit outside for a while, after I'd dried the chairs, and this dunnock was singing away the other side of the fence.
The siskins have gained in numbers and the little goldcrest was back in the pine tree. The tree has grown a lot as it was left  by the previous owners and was no more than a twig in a red pot and is now about 4 foot tall. I've heard the woodpecker drumming in one of the oak trees in the field.
The weather has calmed down here but it sounds like others may be in for a blustery night.
