Large and Small ...

... all sizes of vehicles drive up the Rue des Peupliers.  The view from our 4th floor apartment is rarely dull. The 57 Bus has just left its convenient stop at the bottom of the street (it takes us directly to the Gare de Lyon).  A Suzanne bus is just turning up from the circular  Place de l'Abbé Georges Hénoque  with its playground in the middle. Abbé Hénocque (1870-1979--abbot in English) served in World War I and in the French resistance under Vichy; he was deported to Buchenwald. He appeared very briefly in a documentary on WW I which I saw a couple of years ago.
