Simple Pleasures

We are very behind on our blips!! Life has been busy! "Mum! We need to do better!" Sigh.

Anyway! Today - the 17th - was a GOOD day! First of all, mum made some Swedish kanelbullar (cinnamon rolls) and we had one with our morning coffee!! ONLY one! And she didn't REALLY make them - they're from IKEA and she cooked them from ready-made frozen! But still - they are delicious!

Then after some boring deskwork in the morning (I snoozed) she suddenly suggested that we go walkies a little earlier than normal since the sun was shining. Mum's timing isn't always good when it comes to walkies but today she got it right! We walked around the village next to ours. We did a bit of train spotting too. This is the train line behind our house. There was a little boy waving at the trains and this one hooted his horn back, and the little boy was delighted. The sun came in and out - there were still some dark clouds but it wasn't very cold. We walked past the pretty church - St James.

THEN! Mum said she had a surprise! We stopped at the pub for lunch! That was an unexpected treat! This was the same pub we went to on Sunday but it wasn't so busy today. THIS time the nice lady who works there gave me treats! I didn't know they had dog treats there!! They all made a big fuss of me and they especially liked my ears! I seem to be famous for my ears!

It was a very nice little outing! "Mum! We need to do this a bit more often!"
