A day to forget!

I have also backblipped yesterday's A bit knotty! ....... hope you will have a look :-)

Abstract Thursday theme this week is 'carnival' ....... this is a bit of an EB for it ...... thanks to Ingeborg for hosting :-)

A real nightmare of a day! Call from the care home at 8:30 this morning ....... in their words Mum was "running amok"!

She was going in & out of the other resident's rooms ...... hitting the staff & blaming them all for kidnapping her! I had no means of transport to get there ...... so rang my eldest sister who went round. She then called my brother who also went. Mum didn't recognise either of them ...... insisted they were impostors!

Finally the manager from the other part of the care home arrived & calmed Mum down.

They have moved her to this other part (luckily a room had just come available) as it specialises in difficult cases & is a much quieter atmosphere with higher staff to client ratio. Mum was so exhausted they helped her to bed & she fell asleep. They have asked us not to visit today while they get her settled. A real nightmare!

To top it all we are now being battered by Storm Doris which the Met Office is describing as a 'weatherbomb'! All the buses have been stood down since late morning ........ after one bus narrowly missed being hit by a falling tree. At least I know Hubby should be safe as he should have been out driving a double decker! Not recommended in this wind!

So all in all it's fair to say today has not been a good day! Do hope tomorrow is much better!
