Rex Whistler's Welsh Guard

On a gloomy wet and windy day...thanks to "Doris" I visited our local museum. Entry to the museum gives me access for the year so I felt that was excellent value.

I was in search of the Welsh Guards panels as mentioned in my February 13th Blip. These were rescued from a skip and are now on display in the museum. They are full length caricatures painted by Rex Whistler but Perspex to protect their lower parts made photography difficult. So I focused on the upper part of one of the Guards.

I am sure I will be back to check out other local exhibits.
