Destructive Doris

This was the problem facing thousands of travellers this evening as Doris blew her way across the country. Jack had a slow and trained packed journey home...1 hour turned into 3 hours.

No correct guesses so far on yesterday's blip but some interesting suggestions especially the Polynesian island.
