Doris's Day
An incredibly windy day, all thanks to a storm named 'Doris'. It seemed appropriate to try and capture the strength of the wind, so I got out the extreme neutral density filter, aptly called the 'Big Stopper'.
These trees are substantial. They stand as a group at the entrance to Chillington Hall and in the main do not move much. As I look at this image tonight, it is only at their junction with the ground where they seem in sharp focus. In fact I had wondered whether the tripod/camera combination had been vibrating in the strong winds, rendering the possibility of sharp focus impossible.
Sadly, a woman died just a few miles from where this photograph was taken, struck by debris, pulled loose by the strong winds in Wolverhampton.
