A bit if a challenge

My grandson has done well in his prelims for the National 5 exams, except in maths. So, he's asked me for help, on the basis I did maths at uni. Such a long time ago, though, I think I may have forgotten it all. So, this evening spent swotting up! Hopefully I won't be found lacking....
